``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` In 2005, I was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme, an aggressive form of brain cancer, while completing my final year at ISU. I had no idea that every year 70,000 young adults are diagnosed with cancer or that of the 30 million college students there are now, 1 in every 100 are a cancer survivor.
These statistics remain constant in our age group and the purpose of this concert is to raise awareness while also raising money for some of the top names in the Young Adult cancer awareness movement.
The earlier a cancer is found the better the odds of survival are, with college students juggling many other life elements; it can be difficult to understand that young adult can and do get cancer and it can happen to them.
Sponsor Options There are two ways your place of business can be a part of this exciting event.
Silent Auction Donation
A silent auction donation can be any item that represents your business or the image of you want to give off. Popular ideas are products or services in both traditional form as well as gift certificates. The most common form is a basket of items from the business or a gift certificate, or both combined.
Business Sponsor The business sponsor represents a very important piece of this event as they will help to pay for necessary items as well as create several baskets for the auction. There are three levels of sponsorship available: bronze, silver, and gold
Bronze Sponsor- $100 and less
Silver Sponsor- $200
Gold- $300+
All Sponsors will be listed on the web site as well as in an awareness pamphlet at the benefit and on the contributed baskets.
If you have any questions or need any more information, please contact me at contact @ endingcancerinourgeneration.org
Interested? I made this document to help advertise (make changes as necessary) Benefit Night Flyer and here is a letter I wrote to help explain some of the finer points, it is written from my perspective but you should be able to show it to business in your area as well; Cancer Letter
